Boosting Your Productivity

Three ways to boost your productivity

  1. Introduce new and healthier habits

Long hours do not necessarily result in more productivity. In fact, if you fall ill due to exhaustion or sickness, you’ll lose that time plus recovery time. Measuring total output vs total hours can go a long way in helping you retain a healthy and stable work life. Things such as taking frequent breaks or organizing your day beforehand help you have a fresher mind while working so you are better able to focus. Once your total output increases, you’ll be better motivated to stay on task.

       2. Getting a sufficient amount of sleep

The more hours you work, the less sleep you’ll get, not to mention the decreased quality of sleep when you take your work concerns to bed with you. Taking time to get adequate rest will help your body stay replenished and, thus, maintain steadier cognitive functions.

        3. Reduce multitasking

The more you take on all at once, the more you’ll be distracted. In a client services industry, it is highly impossible to eliminate multitasking. However, you have the power to structure your day to minimize it. Try to tweak your work hours to spend more time devoted to important projects and aspects. The more uninterrupted time you have, the wonders it will do on your work rate.
